What is the Balduzzi Difference?

The "Balduzzi Difference", lies within the attitude and experience of it's employees, the quality of materials we deliver, competitive pricing, and service that exceeds the sale.

Do you design houses?

Yes! Mike Poellinger, our resident designer would be happy to meet with you, review your ideas, expectations and budget considerations, and develop schematic, preliminary and/or presentation drawings. Stop in or give Mike a call to review your possibilities.

Can you help me with my deck renovation?

Yes! We have the staff available who can help you with material considerations, design options and estimate materials to assist you with your build.

Do you install?

No! We do not install any products that we sell. We would, however, be happy to introduce you to several professional contractors from the Seven Rivers Region who can provide you with an accurate installation estimate.

What kind of siding do you recommend?

Many products are available as siding today. At Balduzzi lumber we provide, vinyl, laminate and fiber cement as well as faux stone and many styles of trim and accents. Siding generally reflects personal choice, price and product durability and warranty. All products have their merits, please stop in and see what suits you.

Is there a difference in interior door quality?

Yes! One would think a door is door? In fact there are many hidden qualities not readily seen on a doors exterior. You should consider the thickness of the veneer, hardware finish, whether it's a compressed wood or solid wood, router carved or framed. Please visit our interior door supplier links found in the "Product Showcase" portion of our web home page.

Should I replace my deck boards with one of these new fangled composites?

For today's market and consumer requests for easy maintenance and care, we highly recommend composite products for building decks, porches and screen rooms. Composite products offer low maintenance, resist heat and fading, are safe, durable and will in most cases, increase the value of your home.

I heard you are expensive?

We are constantly tracking market trends, price points, competition flyers, and pressing our suppliers for the best available pricing. When comparing products of equal quality, style and manufacture...we stand very comparable and in many cases offer lower pricing than what is available in other markets and chain stores.

What kind of entry door should I install?

Entry doors can be as varied as the consumers that purchases them. Basic components are steel, fiberglass and wood. Beyond that there are varying degrees of insulation, skin thickness, product hardware, insulation factors, construction brace points, weather seal considerations, as well as ease of installation and warranty. Styles can also be as varied as the consumer. Balduzzi Lumber carries several brands of doors. Stop in to see which door is best for you.

How do you charge for designing a house?

Our fees are generally based on square footage, complexity of your design, detail expectations and time. Feel free to bring in your concept and we will be happy to provide you with an approximate quote. We treat each project individually and devote our best talents to fulfilling your expectations.

Do you provide estimates?

Yes! We will quote a deck, a garage, pergola, pet house, or an entire home, feel free to bring in your scaled plans or product list. We appreciate the opportunity to bid all projects.

How does your lumber compare with the box stores?

Our contractors request "Premium Studs." We stock lumber that is a grade above most of our competition. Premium lumber saves times and provides a better quality end product with reduced bows and less waning lending to straighter walls, stronger framing and more profit to our customers bottom line.

Is there a difference in treated lumber?

Yes! Our treated 2x4's and 2x6's are "select grade" Ponderosa Pine. Our 2x8, 2x10 and 2x12 treated material is #1 Southern Yellow Pine. We feel these products offer better structural aesthetics and straighter boards saving our customers time and providing a better quality build. Most competition offer standard grade #2 or #3 pine.
